As a passionate church school we follow distinctly Christian Values as the focus of our Collective Worship. These values are taught and explained, but more importantly are lived through our actions in school and beyond.
As a community, we have chosen the values below to focus on, usually one theme every month. We turn our focus to Christmas and Easter at the appropriate times of the calendar.
Be strong and courageous all you who hope in the Lord.
Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowances for each other’s faults because of your love. Ephesians 4:2
Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
If one of you wants to be great, they must be the servant of the rest . . . like the Son of Man who did not come to be served but to serve.
Pay attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.
Be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Thank the Lord, for he is good. His love continues forever.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you
As part of our development of our Christian Values we, as a school community, support many charitable events during the year. These have included Cancer Research, Macmillan, Children in Need, Mental Health Awareness Charities and the Children’s Society to name a few.
We have recently started to work with Ripple Africa, a local charity that supports communities in Malawi, Africa, to set up and maintain schools, so that all children can have access to an education.
We are making contact with the school, by letter, and as our understanding of their needs develop, not only educationally but also economically and environmentally, we will be working to support them through fundraising and other activities.
